Aroma therapy is the use of oils from herbs and other aromatic plants to achieve relaxation or obtain relief from a disorder.
Depending on the plant, the aromatic or essences of the oil is extracted from the leaves, flowers, roots, seeds, fruit, bark or resin, then diluted with water or unscented oil such as jo-joba. The resulting compound is then massaged into the skin, inhaled from stream, added to bath water or used as a compress.
